November fared well for Automobile Industry
Automobile industry witnessed lackluster sales in the festive
season especially in the month of October 2014. However, November has been able
to bring back upward trend in the automobile industry.
As per the data revealed by car manufacturers, while on one hand, companies like
Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Honda Cars India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor
and Tata Motors have registered significant growth in the month of November
2014 compared to the same month last year. Then on other hand, carmakers like
Mahindra & Mahindra, Ford India and General Motors have felt the pressure
of high interest rates, uncertainty of excise duty rates and a generally
tight-fisted economy.
